Both ibuprofen and diclofenac are Non-Steroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drugs (NSAIDs). They work by blocking enzymes (COX-1 and COX-2) that produce chemicals called prostaglandins. By blocking these enzymes twice over, you lose that vital protection, leading to a much higher risk of damage to your digestive system and kidneys.
